March of 2020- that month still rings a bell within us. While all of us were hearing stories of the pandemic ravaging through the world, it came closer to home. We were suddenly pulled out of our cubicles, gyms, malls and asked to operate from home, making work from home a notion. Despite the constraints and challenges, as the lines between the personal, professional, and social world blurred, we strived on. Before you knew it, a year had passed, and we had pushed back the spread to a controllable limit. Kudos to our spirit!
We have faced obstacles, as all avenues of heading out were forsaken to remain safe. Yet, for every will, there is a way. These obstacles were easily cast aside, as we found out ingenious ways to make things work out in our favour.
Take fitness for example- it's an aspect of life that we all can’t do without! Yet, a lot of us depend upon the state-of-the-art facilities of gyms and sports arenas. Even if that wasn’t the case, working out outdoors, by jogging, running, exercises etc was what kept us balanced. With the onset of lockdowns, the fear of losing out on health hung in the air, after all, immunity comes from optimal health! Thus, rose the importance of working from home. Workouts were conducted at home, switching gym equipment or cardio equipment with what one could find lying around. Innovation and fun became the key aspects of making these workouts a rousing success.
With 2021 in a roll, let us continue that momentum, through the following ways:
Instagram is a friend in more than one way- but now, this wonderful app can moonlight as your coach too! Often these pages contain work out videos, tips, and resources that you can utilize. Think of them as your personal experts and follow them. There are a plethora of workouts to be capitalized in that platform- some even don’t require equipment’s!

What’s even better- you can schedule video call workout sessions to ensure that your form never breaks!
Miss sweating that unwanted fat out? Who said that you can’t get that high-intensity workout at home? What’s stopping you from taking the notch up in your workouts is the preconceived walls that you have built. Break them down with the following high-intensity interval training (HIIT) challenge workout:
Remember to pace it well. Suppose you start by doing movement number one ― high knees ― for 45 seconds, rest for 15seconds. Follow it by 20 seconds of high knees and 10 seconds of rest. Repeat both. The entire rotation takes about 36 minutes, utilizing your body to the hilt!

They say that there is a method to all kinds of madness-they aren’t wrong! There is that madness to working out too-that of adrenaline, that kick of energy! Yet, plain workouts are often known to bore you out- humans are averse to the ruts of routine! To take that blandness out, be creative with your equipment and routine. Use a chair for dips, reverse lunges, decline push-ups and reverse crunches. Towels can be used to stop your feet from sliding in moves such as lunges, mountain climbs, pikes, hamstring curls and more. Pile up your books in bags and use them as weights- they are perfect for weight training! Make use of suitcases, briefcases, paint cans, water cans to add resistance. You can also order equipment from Decathlon- our online store houses a variety of products to help you become fitter! Also, make household chores such as sweeping, putting up stuff, vacuum-cleaning a part of your workout routine. You will finish your chores with better zeal and maintain your fitness goals as well!
Conclusion
