Child seats can hold babies from the age of 9 or 10 months (once they are able to hold their head up on their own) who weigh up to 22 kg. Thanks to the strap around the chest and feet, children can enjoy bike rides while remaining stable and without affecting the cyclist's balance.
There are several types of child seat. They can be fitted to 3 places on your bike: at the back on the pannier rack, at the back directly on the frame itself, or at the front between the handlebar and saddle.
Whether your child seat is on the pannier rack or the handlebars, it is a practical way of getting about with baby on everyday or recreational rides. Perfect for enjoying cycling as a family!
You can also get child seats that you can install. Front seats fix directly onto the steering column, between the handlebar and saddle in front of the rider. These models can be fixed at their very lowest height so that the cyclist's visibility is not hindered
Child seats that fit are removable and more comfortable. Just make sure you check that the seat is compatible with the diameter of your frame.
Most models fix at the back of the bike. Some seats can be tilted so that baby can take a nap if needed.
