Football can be played anywhere but is that the case anymore? One day you are playing on a mud ground and the next day, you could be playing on a beautiful grass ground. To have a great game, you need to find the right football shoes for your feet for you to be at your best. Let us help you choose the right one for you!
READ MOREFG Boots, also know as "Firm Ground Football Boots " are used on natural grass pitches when the ground is somewhere in between hard and wet. These are the most popular choice amongst and commonly called football studs in our country. However, these are not suitable for artificial grass pitches due to the amount of grip it provides. Ever wondered why your boots get too hot during an afternoon game on artificial turf?
Artificial grass boots or MG boots should be the go-to option if you play a lot on AG or AstroTurf. Players do prefer wearing an FG boot in these conditions too but we do not recommend them. The AG studs are smaller and round to allow you to twist and turn easily on the surface. The increase in the number of ankle and knee injuries is mainly due to the extra grip FG studs provide on artificial grass grounds. Moreover, the number of studs is higher on AG shoes to reduce the impact on your knees and ankle.
Now, if you are someone who plays on both FG and AG, multi-ground boots (MG) are your best option. These have conical studs which allow you to twist and turn easily on AG pitches but also provide a good grip on FG. Did you notice they have hollow studs? These avoid your boots from heating up on AG pitches due to friction. Like AG, they have more studs to reduce the impact on our knee and ankle.
These are mostly used by professionals during pre-season and for training on hard pitches. They are your best partners on hard grounds and AstroTurf. The rubber studs distribute your weight better. Personally, I do prefer using them on mud grounds because offer a much better grip but it does void the warranty on the product.
These are non-marking soles that are used on indoor courts. Plenty of grip and support for your futsal matches.
These are metal-studded football boots that must be used on soft and wet natural grass pitches only. You must be crazy to use them on AG or hard ground pitches!
