You've decided it's time to get back to sport. But workout after workout, the scale isn't budging and you have yet to lose even an ounce. Don't worry. It's perfectly normal: losing weight with exercise is a slightly slower process that must be combined with other health practices.

Physical and sports activities can even cause you to gain weight.
“In short, focusing on the scale is counterproductive," she says. Not losing weight when you've started exercising can be really frustrating.
But what's important is paying attention to how your body changes after every swim, walk, bike ride or other workout.
You may notice that your clothing is fitting better: for example, perhaps your trousers aren't quite as tight around the waist or thighs as before.”
As Jolly explained, doing sport doesn't necessarily make you lose weight, but it does change your body shape.
“It's important to combine sport with a healthy lifestyle - eating well and sleeping seven to nine hours a night.
If you want to reshape your body, try working with a personal trainer and a nutritionist who can create a customised programme based on your goals.
You've started exercising to lose weight, but the scale won't budge. But if you feel better in your body, that's all that matters!
