Make Successful Fishing Knots


1. Hook Knots

These simple and quick knots to tie enable you to effectively attach an accessory(hook, swivel, crankbait) to your line.

2. Spoon Knots

Simple, sturdy and easy to execute, this basic knot can effectively attach flexible lure, crankbait, swivel, fly, etc.

‍Step 1: Pass the wire through the eye of the hook.
‍Step 2: Form a small loop then wind the wire around the line (5/6 times).
‍Step 3: Pass the wire back through the loop.
‍Step 4: Wet the wire with saliva before tightening it then cutting off the excess.‍

3. Palomar Knot

This is a knot of very high strength and which is non-slip. It can be used to connect the line to a swivel, a hook eyelet, a crankbait, jighead.

‍Step 1: Double up the line before passing it through the eye.
‍Step 2: Tie a simple knot.
‍Step 3: Pass the object (hook, swivel) through the loop and tighten gradually.

4. Spade And Hook Knot

This knot allows you to attach any spade-end hooks of any size. This is a knot that any still fisherman should know.

Step 1: Form a loop at the shank of the hook.
‍Step 2: Hold the loop using your thumb and index finger and wrap the wire around the shank (6-7 turns).
‍Step 3: Moisten the wire before tightening the knot by pulling on the wire on the side of the spade-end.

5. Surgeon's Knot

This single knot can effectively connect two wires of similar diameter. It is not recommended for connecting the braid with wire or nylon-type fluorocarbon as the braid tends to sever the wire.

‍Step 2: Make a loop with the two wires.
‍Step 3: Pass the two strands inside the loop. Repeat the process 2 times.
‍Step 4: Moisten the knot with saliva and tighten it gradually

‍6. Peixet Knot

This is a very effective knot for connecting the braid to nylon or fluorocarbon or for connecting two wires of different diameters. It slides excellently inside the rings.

Step 1: Make a figure of eight with your nylon or fluorocarbon wire.
‍Step 2: Thread the body through the loop.
‍Step 3: Wind it round fifteen times in one direction before coming back to the loop and making the same number of turns in the other direction.

This is a simple and effective basic knot that quickly connects the main line to the leader.
